Albrecht Dürer - The Monstrous Sow of Landser - engraving, 1496

I saw a print of this at the Portland Art Museum a couple of years ago.  Dürer apparently read a description of the animal in a newspaper and created the engraving from that alone.  He liked to draw strange things.
